Skip Gram's G-Styk

The Skip Gram "G-Styk"

This is a set of photos showing of what you get when you receive a G-Styk from Skip.

The G-Styk ARC (Almost Ready to Cover) as it comes from Skip

The fuselage was pretty dusty, as it had been sitting for a while, so a good cleaning was in order

The fuselage interior is roomy, with plenty of space for a large fuel tank(or batteries in this case), the receiver and receiver battery

A 1/4" plywood plate is pre-installed, more than heavy enough for even the roughest landings

The top access hatch is well constructed, with hardwood where retaining screws will mount and is a perfect fit

The 1/4" plywood wing mount plate is installed and pre-tapped for 1/4-20 nylon bolts

The Elevator Servo cutout and mounts are installed, as well as the exit hole for the tail wheel control rod

The tailwheel nylon plate is pre-mounted with 4-40 bolts

The Rudder servo cutout and mounts are installed on the right side of the fuselage

The tail assembly is straight and true and slotted so everything interlocks for added strength

The fuselage is nice and straight with a strong firewall leading the front of the airplane

The Vertical Stab is pre-built and fitted to the fuselage with all the required cutouts already there

Horizontal stab and Elevator are high quality balsa, pre-slotted for the Vertical Stab

Both Aileron servo plates are pre cut for the servos

The wingtips are a work of art, made from thick balsa and strong enough to stay in place

The wing ribs are capped with nice and wide pieces of hard balsa. In addition, tubes are pre-installed for the aileron servo wire runs

The rear wing mount area is reinforced with hardwood and pre-drilled to fit the tapped holes in the fuselage

A new change includes a plywood reinforced front wing mount with dowels already installed

A nice access area is shown for the Aileron servo exit wires

the wing itself is straight and true, very well constructed and strong enough for the most aggressive of fliers

Also included is a single solid piece of high quality Aileron balsa with the leading edge dowel installed

The landing gear of choice, 1/8" thick aluminum custom made and ready for polishing (not included)
